Back in 2015, a pit bull who had been neglected and abandoned was discovered in a park located in Brooklyn. The AMA Animal Rescue group located in Brooklyn were informed about the situation and immediately dispatched their rescue team to help. Upon arrival, the rescuers were appalled by the sight of the pit bull, who was later named Norman. He was in a terrible state, with matted fur and was tethered to a wall, making it difficult for him to move around. He was in such bad shape that his flesh had begun to rot, emitting a foul odor. It was undoubtedly one of the worst animal abuse cases they had ever encountered.
Norman was overjoyed to see the people who had saved him, despite his ill health. He appeared to acknowledge that they had come for him, as his tail started to wag the moment they approached him.
Before letting Norman go, AM Animal Rescue made sure to feed him. As soon as he climbed into the car, he cozied up on a soft blanket and dozed off.
Norman was taken to a vet clinic to receive treatment for his multiple health concerns.
Upon arrival, the emaciated dog was found to have infected sores, in addition to suffering from deafness, blindness, and arthritis. The veterinarian estimated the dog’s age to be around 10 years old, and it was clear that the poor canine had not received much love or attention throughout its life.
