Although no-kill animal shelters do their best to find permanent, loving homes for the animals under their care, there are still instances where a dog may not be adopted despite the shelter’s dedicated efforts.
Meet Dahlia, one of the adorable canines residing at the Santa Barbara Humane Society. This lovable America Staffordshire Terrier Mix has spent her entire life at the shelter since she was born there six months ago. Despite being seven years old now, Dahlia hasn’t found a forever home yet, making her the longest-residing pup at the shelter. The staff is determined to find her a loving home ASAP and give her the happy ending she deserves.
According to a volunteer at the shelter, Daliah is an incredibly sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and loyal dog who loves to cuddle. She is looking for a wonderful home where she can be the only pet and bring happiness to her new owner’s life. Recently, the Humane Society made an appeal for Daliah, and thankfully, someone from Orange County saw her story on TV and came to the shelter to adopt her. Therefore, the shelter’s request was not ignored, and Daliah finally found her forever home.
The Humane Society expressed their delight as they made an announcement, stating, “We couldn’t be happier!” For those who were concerned about Dahlia’s condition… she has finally found her forever home! We are grateful to everyone who reached out to us and shared information about her.
