When a couple of Good Samaritans noticed a puppy roaming around a landfill looking for food, they immediately knew that they had stumbled upon another animal who was a victim of abuse and neglect.
They rushed to catch the puppy before it could escape, but after managing to do so, the hoomans were completely heartbroken to see what condition this pup was in.
The poor girl, later named Moon, was only two months old and was completely covered in fleas and ticks. All four of her paws were swollen, making it really hard for her to walk around and find herself food and shelter.
Luckily, she no longer had to worry about that as she was finally saved by hoomans who would do everything in their power to provide her with a brand-new life.
A Fresh Start
When Moon met her rescuers, at first, she was really shy. Since she probably didn’t have any interactions with hoomans before, she had no idea what to expect so she just curled up into a little ball and hoped for the best.
Her rescuers immediately rushed her to the local vet, so that she could receive a thorough checkup as well as medication for her swollen paws.
The vets determined that she was anemic and that she needed an immediate blood transfusion as well as a lot of rest so that she could regain her strength and begin a better life.
After only five days, the doctors started to see major improvements in Moon’s health, and she didn’t even receive all of her blood transfusions.
It was absolutely necessary for this sweet girl to remain at the vet as she still had some health issues, and keeping her under constant observation would ensure a faster and better recovery.
However, twenty days after starting her treatment, Moon was able to leave the clinic and go into a loving home where she would continue her recovery journey.
Moon’s First Time In A Home
Being such a strong-minded girl, it didn’t take her too long to settle into her new foster home and figure out what it was all about.
Moon is getting better and better with every passing day and is growing up to be the cutest and sweetest pup ever.
I am sure that in no time, this sweet girl will catch the eye of a loving family who will take her into their loving home and show her what it is like to be a part of a happy and warm home.
For now, she is spending her days playing with her foster siblings, sleeping in a warm bed, and eating as much yummy food as her little heart desires.
This story serves as the perfect reminder of how important animal rescuers are.
If it wasn’t for them, who knows what would have happened to Moon or any other stray animal in the same position?
Animal rescuers dedicate their time, effort, and energy to finding animals in need, rescuing them, and showing them what life is all about by providing them with loving families and healthy environments to grow up in.
I can guarantee you that this is one of the most fulfilling jobs a hooman can have. So, if you ever come across an animal that is in the same or similar position as Moon was, please offer a helping hand or contact your local animal shelter.
Together, we can make this world a place where hoomans and animals can finally live in true harmony.
